Experience a colonial American tavern with JASNA-NJ! Hamilton fanciers, this one’s for you! Of course, Janeites also love learning about history that immediately predated Austen.
On September 30th at 2pm, JASNA-NJ will meet at the Indian King Tavern Museum to explore and tour this historic site.

From the Indian King Tavern website:
The Indian King Tavern Museum is more than a 200-year-old facility nestled on Kings Highway — the main street in historic Haddonfield, NJ. It is New Jersey’s first state-owned historic site (acquired in 1903) and it is where New Jersey completed its transition from colony to state.
The museum is located at
233 Kings Highway East
Haddonfield, NJ
No set fee for the tour, but JASNA-NJ suggests guests offer a $5 donation to thank the museum for its hospitality and aid in its efforts to preserve NJ history. Donations can be made at the event.
After our visit to the museum, we will enjoy traditional British fare at The British Chip Shop, which is located right by the museum at:

146 Kings Highway East
Haddonfield, NJ
If you are able to join us, please RSVP to JASNANewJersey@gmail.com if you’d like to tour the museum, dine at the The British Chip Shop, or both!
