Ring out 2024 celebrating Jane! Join us for a Jane Austen birthday celebration on Saturday, December 14th at 2pm EST.
Get ready to party! Join JASNA-NJ for our annual birthday celebration on Saturday, December 14th at 2:00pm at a member’s house in West Windsor. Our celebration will include games, snacks, witty conversation, and, of course, our book swap.
Any attendee may participate in the book swap, however, it is optional. If you would like to join in the book swapping fun, simply bring a new or lovingly-used, wrapped book that you think another member would enjoy. It can be related to Jane Austen and her works or an amazing, unrelated read that you would love to pass along. However, we do not suggest bringing one of Austen’s works as many of us have either read, and often own, them all.
Anyone who would like to bring a snack to share is more than welcome, though this is completely optional, as well. Please use this sign up form to let us know what you will bring. In order to ensure we have enough room for all of the delicacies, please bring enough food for 6 people.
To join JASNA-NJ on Saturday, December 14th, simply RSVP to JASNANewJersey@gmail.com by December 12th. The exact location in West Windsor, NJ will be emailed to you before the event. We look forward to celebrating with you!
For those of you who have attended JASNA-NJ’s Zoom meetings but live too far away to attend in person, we would also like to thank all of you for your thoughtful and witty discussion and bringing so much energy to our meetings. We hope you have a wonderful winter, regardless of what holiday (or none) you celebrate and hope it’s full of Austen, beloved family and friends, and no Mr. Collins-like distant relations showing up at your door at the last minute to demand food, lodging, and your most eligible child’s hand in wedlock.
We’re looking forward to sharing some great programs with you in 2025, so stay tuned!
