Winterthur Museum – Sandy Lerner Event

We were recently informed of a program happening in September that may be of interest to some of our members. Below is the email we received.

Hello. I am a member of JASNA and work at Winterthur Museum. I’m trying to help get out the word about a September program at Winterthur which is of interest to JASNA members, and I hope you can let your regional members know about it. It’s a bit of a drive, I know, but people can come spend most of the day here, touring the museum and the gardens, and then stay for the program.

Sandy Lerner, JASNA member and founder of the Chawton House Library, will be speaking at Winterthur Museum on Thursday, September 27, 2012, at 6 pm. She will be talking about her new book Second Impressions. After the talk, there will be a book signing. (Books will be available for purchase.) Sandy Lerner is also speaking at the AGM in October, but for those members not attending that, this is another opportunity to hear her speak.

Earlier in the day, there will be a Jane Austen Gift Show in the Museum Store, from 10-4. I have no idea what Jane Austen gifts there will be – I’m looking forward to that.

There is a charge for the talk, and for those who come to visit the museum earlier in the day, the charge is in addition to the museum admission. Visit the Winterthur website for more information: www.winterthur.org

Thanks for helping to spread the word!

If you are interested send an email to us and we’ll see about getting a group together or at least getting you in contact with other interested members.
