Fall For You (The Jane Austen Academy Book 1) by Cecilia Gray (My review)

Captain Frederick Wentworth’s Persuasion: Jane Austen’s Classic Retold Through His Eyes by Regina Jeffers
I enjoyed this book. It was a mix of new story that takes place after Persuasion and a retelling told through Wentworth’s eyes. Regina Jeffers did another wonderful job expanding on the world that Jane imagined. She modernizes the romance but I don’t feel she did an injustice to the original.  The story is told as a kind of flashback for Frederick as he is healing from a wound. He is remembering the rocky road to his current life with Anne aboard the ship. He is reflecting on how lucky they were to find each other again and how people grow and change but at the core stay the same.
